November Prayer Update
Reminder: First Sunday Prayer will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 8:30 AM in the Chapel!
On October 21st, we held our third Prayer Breakfast of 2017. These mornings have been so special and powerful as we have gathered together as a church family to celebrate what God is doing and seek His guidance, blessings, and empowerment as we continue to pursue His will for Timber Creek.
Pastor Jeremy shared a dynamic teaching on 2 Chronicles 20:1-26 about “Praying ‘Breakthrough’ Prayers” over situations, struggles, and circumstances of our lives in which we need God to do what only He can do! If you are alive and breathing, chances are you have experienced something in your life in which you needed a breakthrough or you know someone who has. If not, you will.
Here are some keys to remember and practice when praying for a breakthrough:
1. Focus on God, not the problem.
2. Tell God, “I can’t do this. I need you to do this.”
3. Listen to what He says.
4. Thank Him in advance for His response.
5. Expect God’s blessings after the breakthrough.
At October’s Prayer Breakfast, Pastor Jeremy also shared new Prayer Focuses which will take us through 2017 and into 2018. (See Graphic to the Right.) Please continue to pray over these focus areas as you pray for Timber Creek Church, our leaders, our church family, and all that God has for us in the coming year.
Don’t forget to join us for First Sunday Prayer at 8:30 AM in the Chapel on the first Sunday of each month!
Thank you so much for partnering with us in prayer!
